About the edition

The "Theory and History of Architecture" online journal is a collection of scientific works produced at the Scientific Research Institute of Theory and History of Architecture and Urban Planning, the branch of the Central Institute for Research and Design of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation (NIITIAG). The online resource aims to systematically publish new materials and analytical research in the field of theory and history of architecture and urban planning, modern architecture, including the issues of conservation and use of architectural heritage. The compilations are based on the proceedings of scientific conferences and collective research works conducted at NIITIAG and recommended for publication by the Institute's Academic Council. In addition to the main block of scientific publications, the volumes of the journal may contain review articles, theoretical essays, monograph reviews, and other materials on the subject of the volume.

Publishing ethics

The relationship between editors, authors, and reviewers is regulated by the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Editors are advised to adhere to the principles of objectivity, fairness, without discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, religious or political beliefs, or ethnic or geographic origin of the authors.

The authors of the articles to be published in the series should follow these formatting guidelines:

  • the text should not exceed 30,000 characters, including spaces;

  • the text should be presented in .doc or .docx format, preferably using the Microsoft Word editor. The text should be in Times New Roman font, font size - 12, line spacing - 1.5;

  • the UDC code should be placed at...
